Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

About B.E.S.T

What is Bespoke Elite Speaker Training?

  • Bespoke Elite Speaker Training (B.E.S.T.) specialises in personalised, high-performance speaker development programmes designed to transform individuals into confident, impactful and inspiring speakers.
  • Our approach blends practical exercises, proven communication frameworks and one-to-one coaching, all built on years of professional speaking and leadership development experience.

Who founded B.E.S.T and who leads it now?
B.E.S.T was originally co-founded in 2019 by former professional athletes Leon Lloyd and Paul McVeigh, who brought over 20 years of combined public speaking experience. Today, the business is led by Leon, who draws on his elite sports career and subsequent work in business leadership to deliver programmes tailored for the corporate world.

Who are your programmes for?
Our programmes are designed for:

  • Leaders and professionals who want to communicate with more clarity and impact
  • Experts who want to turn their experience into powerful talks
  • Individuals who feel capable but lack confidence or structure when speaking

We work with both novice speakers and experienced presenters who want to refine their style.

Programmes & Fit

What types of programmes do you offer?

We offer a full suite of communication and speaker development programmes designed for different stages, needs and learning styles:

  • SPEAK & Grow — Foundations for confidence, structure and communication habits
  • SPEAK Exec — Our flagship cohort-based programme for senior leaders
  • SPEAK with Impact — High-performance masterclasses for teams and organisations
  • SPEAK E-zy — Core skills for those at the early stages of building speaking confidence
  • SPEAK Ed (Coming Soon) — Education-focused version for schools, colleges and youth development

Across all programmes, the focus remains the same: building confidence, clarity, storytelling skill and strong audience connection.

How do I know which programme is right for me?
It depends on your goals, experience and time commitment. If you’re preparing for high-stakes talks or want deep transformation, a flagship programme is often best. If you want your whole team to improve, a tailored in-house masterclass might be more suitable. If you’re at the early stages or prefer to learn at your own pace, our digital options are a good starting point.
If you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll recommend the best fit based on a short conversation.

Do you work with organisations as well as individuals?
Yes. We regularly partner with organisations who want to develop the communication skills of their leaders and teams. We can run existing programmes for a closed group or design a bespoke pathway aligned to your culture, strategy and learning budget.

Delivery, Format & Logistics

Are your programmes delivered online or in person?
We offer a blend of formats:

  • In-person masterclass and cohort experiences (where locations and dates are confirmed)
  • Live online sessions via video platforms
  • On-demand digital content for self-paced learning
  • Immersive Virtual Reality training modules

The exact format varies by programme, and will be clearly outlined on the relevant programme page and in your joining information.

How much time do I need to commit?
Time commitment depends on the programme:

  • Cohort-based and in-person programmes usually follow a structured schedule (for example, a series of half-day or full-day sessions).
  • Digital / self-paced learning can be done in shorter blocks that fit around your schedule.
  • Individual or SPEAK Exec is a 4-week programme

If time is a concern, we can help you choose an option that works realistically alongside your other responsibilities.

Where do in-person sessions take place?

  • We typically run our fixed, open-cohort programmes from London, using professional venues suitable for high-quality delivery and rehearsal.
  • We have also held programmes in several major UK cities, including Manchester, Leicester and Lincolnshire.
  • Internationally, we have delivered programmes and corporate sessions in Germany, Singapore and Guernsey.
  • For open cohorts, venue details are confirmed in advance and shared with your joining instructions.
  • For corporate bookings, we can deliver at your offices or arrange a venue that works best for your team and schedule.

Do you offer 1:1 coaching as well as group programmes?
Yes. In addition to group programmes, we offer personalised 1:1 coaching for leaders and professionals who want targeted support on a specific speech, event or development goal. This can be combined with programme participation or booked separately.

Results, Pricing & Next Steps

What kind of results can I expect?
While everyone starts from a different place, most participants report:

  • Increased confidence speaking in front of others
  • Stronger structure and storytelling in their talks
  • Clearer, more compelling messages
  • Improved presence and impact in meetings, pitches and keynotes

Our aim is that you leave not just feeling more confident, but with practical tools you can apply immediately in your role.

Do I receive a certificate when I complete a programme?
Yes. Participants who complete a programme receive a B.E.S.T certificate of completion, which you can reference in your professional development records, on LinkedIn, or in internal performance reviews.

How much do your programmes cost?
Pricing varies depending on the programme type, duration and whether it’s an individual place or a corporate booking. Because we tailor our work, we’ll usually provide pricing after a short conversation to ensure we’re recommending the right solution.

If you have a specific question about dates or changes, please let us know as early as possible.
